These days people look for a lot of short cuts when it comes to healthy living - detox miracles, 30 day cleansers, I eat what I want and feel great kind of stuff. You know it, we've all been there!
But while there is no short cut, there is a simple truth that has been constant forever - you are what you eat. We live longer now than ever because we are nutritionally better off, we have fewer preventable diseases than our ancestors, we are stronger, taller and (occasionally) smarter.
But we still make bad decisions. Not all of them are as immediately impactful as they were for our ancestors, where one wrong tern could mean instant death. But we make decisions everyday which are leading us in the same direction, it just happens to be a long, winding road instead of instant death by a bear.
